Celebrate Family Weekend with the JSG Makerspace in the STEM Library! Stop by to design and create your own pinback buttons and magnets! Show off your creative side and design a button to pin to a backpack, jacket, purse/tote bag, or a magnet to decorate a mini fridge! Upcycle magazines, use a sticker, or draw your own designs. We will also have pre-made UMD-themed designs available for those eager to show off their Terp pride! All supplies will be provided.

Want to know how astronauts train for space? Interested in space robotics? Visit the Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility, a world-class, one-of-it's kind facility hosting a 50 ft diameter, 25 ft deep tank of water used for space simulation - one of two in the nation and the only one on a university campus! This session will be repeated at 3 p.m.
NOTE:This building does not have an elevator, and access to the second floor is only via stairs. Individuals with mobility issues are advised not to participate in tours involving the upper floor, as it is not wheelchair accessible. Additionally, the building does not have air conditioning. It may become hot indoors during warm weather. Tours will enter through the high bay door (a large garage door) located on Technology Drive.

Since Liz Lerman founded Dance Exchange in 1976, the company's mission has been simple, yet radical: Dance is for everyone. The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library celebrates fifty years of Dance Exchange with an exhibit centered on a few, seemingly random, objects chosen by Lerman from her archive in the library's Special Collections in Performing Arts. These objects, however, show how surprises from the archive can illuminate a larger story of an artist.
